Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Cue Studio (“we,” “us”) for the InnerCanvas iOS app and this website (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using InnerCanvas, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. InnerCanvas is not therapy
InnerCanvas is a creative wellness ritual. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, or a diagnosis. Reflections are generated by software and are meant as prompts for your own noticing. They are not a substitute for a licensed professional.
If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or others, do not rely on InnerCanvas. In the United States, call or text 988. For other countries, see the International Association for Suicide Prevention. If this is an emergency, call local emergency services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use InnerCanvas. If you use InnerCanvas on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms.
3. Accounts
You may sign up with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password or device access secure.
We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or poses a safety or legal risk.
You may delete your account in the app: Account → Delete my account. Deletion removes your journal from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone.
4. Your drawings and other content
You retain ownership of the drawings, photos, and text you create in InnerCanvas (“User Content”).
You grant Cue Studio a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display User Content only as needed to operate the Service — including storing your journal and sending drawings and related text to our AI provider to generate reflections. This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, except for copies that may remain in backups for a short period or that you shared yourself.
If you use the share sheet, you are choosing to send that image outside InnerCanvas. We are not responsible for where you send it.
You represent that User Content is your original work (or that you have the rights needed), and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate the law. Do not upload others’ artwork, photographs of people who have not agreed, or illegal material. InnerCanvas may refuse images that do not appear to be your own drawing.
5. AI reflections
Reflections are produced by third-party AI models. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unhelpful. Do not treat them as professional advice. We do not guarantee any particular outcome from using InnerCanvas.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Attempt to access another person’s journal
- Use InnerCanvas to generate or distribute harmful, harassing, or illegal content
- Misrepresent AI output as a clinical assessment
- Interfere with security or authentication
7. Paid features
If we later offer subscriptions or in-app purchases, they will be billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any additional paid-feature terms will be presented at purchase. Refunds are handled under Apple’s policies unless required otherwise by law.
8. Intellectual property
The InnerCanvas name, app, prompts library, design, and our illustrations are owned by Cue Studio or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service. You may not copy the app or our content except as allowed by law (for example, fair use) or with our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that reflections will be accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cue Studio and its people will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of InnerCanvas.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for InnerCanvas in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited (for example, for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limit is not allowed).
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Cue Studio against claims arising from your User Content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. We may stop offering InnerCanvas, or parts of it, with reasonable notice where practicable.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may have additional rights as a consumer where you live.
